Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Dwellright Property Management (“Dwellright”, “we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data on the official website https://dwellrightafrica.com and its coming-soon surface. It is prepared to align with the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 (Act No. 9 of 2019) and the Data Protection and Privacy Regulations, 2021, and to honour the spirit of GDPR-adjacent transparency practices for visitors outside Uganda.
1. Data controller
Dwellright Property Management is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Official website: dwellrightafrica.com. Contact for privacy requests: [email protected].
2. What we collect and why
On the waitlist form, when you consent, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Request context (private notice / coming-soon)
- Timestamp and source page of your request
Purpose: to notify you when the full Dwellright website and services launch. Legal basis: your explicit consent (Uganda DPPA s.7 principles; consent as a primary ground for collection on this surface). Supply of this data is discretionary. If you do not consent, we will not place you on the waitlist.
3. How we collect
Data is collected directly from you via the waitlist form. We use a honeypot field and client-side rate limiting to reduce automated abuse. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this coming-soon surface.
4. Storage and retention
When you submit the private notice form, your name and email are sent over HTTPS to Dwellright’s secured intake on dwellrightafrica.com and delivered to our operational inbox for launch notification only. Until that inbox and mail delivery are fully connected, the form will tell you to use Call or WhatsApp instead of claiming a false server receipt. Retention after intake: until launch notification is sent, or 18 months from collection, whichever is sooner, unless a longer period is required by law or you renew consent. After that, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with processors who host email infrastructure or security monitoring, under written instructions and appropriate safeguards. Cross-border transfers, if any, will follow Uganda DPPA requirements on processing outside Uganda, including necessary undertakings.
6. Direct call and WhatsApp
As an additional channel, you may contact Dwellright by telephone or WhatsApp at

Calling uses your device’s dialler and your mobile network operator’s call routing.
WhatsApp opens via Meta’s official click-to-chat link
(https://wa.me/256770494408) only when you choose that action. This site
does not embed WhatsApp scripts, pixels, or chat widgets, so Meta is not loaded until
you leave for WhatsApp.
If you message us on WhatsApp, Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates process the chat under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. Message content may transit infrastructure outside Uganda. Use WhatsApp only if you accept that transfer. Prefer email to [email protected] for formal data-rights requests.
We use voice and WhatsApp solely to respond to enquiries you initiate. We do not use these channels for unsolicited marketing lists from this coming-soon surface.
7. Security
We apply layered controls aligned with guidance from NIST SP 800-53 families,
OWASP ASVS application controls, and BSI IT-Grundschutz themes appropriate to a
static marketing surface: Content-Security-Policy, frame denial, referrer
restriction, input sanitisation, consent gating, and least-data collection.
Outbound Call and WhatsApp controls use first-party links only
(tel: and https://wa.me/), with
rel="noopener noreferrer" and restricted referrer on WhatsApp exits.
No control set is absolute. Report suspected incidents to
[email protected].
Where personal data is accessed without authorisation, we will notify the Personal
Data Protection Office as required and, where directed, affected data subjects.
8. Your rights
Under the Uganda DPPA you may, subject to the Act:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Object to or withdraw consent for processing that causes unwarranted distress
- Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO)
To exercise rights, email [email protected] with enough detail to locate your record. We aim to respond within the timelines set by the Act and Regulations.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 18 on this waitlist.
10. Changes
We will update this notice when processing changes. The effective date above will change accordingly. Material changes affecting the waitlist will be highlighted on this page.
